n this its third incarnation, as in the two previous years the Casa Barcelona project aims to impact on the way we think about contemporary housing, seeking to persuade us that we can aspire to a better home, better suited to our needs, at a lower price than we
are paying now. The springboard it uses to advance in this direction is the close involvement of industry to suggest to visitors how their homes could be and to provide architects with the elements that can turn those suggestions into realities. With each Casa Barcelona, the role of the industrial partners has gained in importance. If in the past top-level international designers played a central part, we
now have no doubts about entrusting the project to professionals who are closer to the industrial promoter or to Casa Barcelona's own technical staff. Projects by David Chipperfield, Carlos Ferrater, Ignacio paricio, Felipe Pich-Aguilera and Vicenç Sarrablo.
