Over a decade has passed since Philip Hughes first chanced upon a notebook whose shape and rough, recycled paper inspired him: "I was captivated by the texture of the paper, by the book's shape, indeed by the whole idea of working in a notebook, something I had never done before". Many striking images of the landscapes he has encountered on his travels, from the South Downs in Sussex and the Luberon in the south of France to Bungle and Cabbage Tree Creek in Australia are included here. This individual record of ten years of travel is published to coincide with a touring exhibition in Australia of Philip Hughes's work.
