Noches fieras brings together the work of 57 photographers from Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Peru and Mexico, whose documentary practice runs from 1970 to 2017. It is a visual essay about the agitated nightlife of different Latin American cities, a gateway to violence and repression of political and moral systems, as well as escape valves and subversion of conventional systems.
Noches fieras is made up, to a greater extent, of pieces from the Leticia and Stanislas Poniatowski Collection, one of the most important collections of Latin American photography, which is dedicated to locating and recovering the work of outstanding masters such as Paolo Gasparini (Venezuela); Miguel Ángel Rojas (Colombia); Yolanda Andrade (Mexico); Paz Errázuriz, (Chile); Ataúlfo Pérez Aznar (Argentina); and Luiz Alphonsus (Brazil), among others.
